Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils Geoanalytical Laboratories has immediate openings for Lab Assistants in our Geochemistry area. These positions are part of a larger team process to conduct laboratory analysis for our mining and minerals clients.
Accountabilities
Duties include weighing samples, washing dishware, working with acid and radioactive samples and general laboratory upkeep
Skills
Good work ethic and must be reliable
Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment with high attention to detail
Previous lab experience is an asset, but not required. All necessary training will be provided.
Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
The use of safety equipment (foot protection, lab coats, gloves and safety glasses) is required and will be provided
Some heavy lifting (up to 30 kg) and working in a dusty environment will be required
Hours of work: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am 4:30 pm
