The Nutrien Childrens Festival in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is hiring a General Manager. The successful candidate should be a creative individual who has a passion for the arts; is confident in his/her communication, management, and leadership skills; and will establish positive connections within the community.
Reporting to the Festivals Board of Directors, the General Managers responsibilities include:
- Planning and managing annual events (including the festival, community outreach programs, and fundraisers) by working closely with sponsors, community partners, performers, vendors, seasonal staff, and volunteers
- Identifying potential sponsors, community partners, performers, and vendors
- Overseeing finances (with the bookkeepers and annual auditors assistance)
- Applying for grants and developing other funding opportunities
- Preparing contracts (including contracts with performers, vendors, and seasonal staff)
- Hiring/finding and supervising seasonal staff and volunteers
- Preparing and distributing marketing materials
- Arranging transportation and accommodations for performers
- Updating the website
The successful candidate will be eligible for benefits. Office space and equipment are provided by the Festival.
