About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Process Engineering Manager is responsible to lead employees in the Saskatoon office and to work within an engineering team to design, optimize, and plan pilot, demonstration and full-scale biological and non-biological water treatment facilities at both brownfield and mine sites locations.
Key Responsibilities
-Provide senior engineering design of biological and non-biological water treatment systems, including piloting test work, demonstration facilities and full-scale water treatment facilities.
-Support other engineering projects as part of the AEG Engineering Team.
-Supports risk analysis with project management.
-Monitor and promote system environmental health and worker safety compliance;
-Create and maintain standards for process engineering throughout AEG;
-Support the development of project proposals for existing and future customers;
-Build and maintain great client relationships through ongoing communication and understanding of client goals;
-Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and professional development opportunities for direct reports.
-Build team capabilities (recruitment, development, retention, etc.) and manage staff performance including goal setting, defining responsibilities, and determining priorities.
-Manage special projects that support the broad-based needs of a rapidly expanding company
About You
-Bachelors of Science degree in chemical, process or environmental engineering;
-Professional Engineering designation preferred.
-8 or more years of engineering experience in water treatment or design of water treatment facilities;
-Previous experience leading cross-functional teams and employees.
