Description

The Good Spirit School Division invites applications for a temporary Administrative Assistant.  

This position is a temporary 10 month position of 5.5 hours per student contact days and 3 hours on non-instructional days.  
The position commences on March 1, 2019 and expires on June 28, 2019.  The work schedule will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with a 30 minute lunch break on student contact days and based on operational needs on non-instructional days.  

The duties of an Administrative Assistant are located on our website and outlined here:
    Greet parents and other visitors in a kind manner.
    Receive and forward inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
    Effectively create, manipulate, and utilize spreadsheets, word documents and file management
    Operate the public address system and other office equipment.
    Work collaboratively with, and under the direction of, the school administration and with other school personnel on a daily basis
    Maintain a positive attitude toward others, their work, school and the division
    Maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to the school.
    Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description  Administrative Assistant.

The successful candidate will have the desired qualifications:
    Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
    Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member

Salary and Benefits:
    Monthly pay at an hourly rate from $17.29 - $22.35 plus applicable vacation pay.
    Benefits include participation in the SSBA Employee Benefits Plan if eligible, MEPP if enrollment is chosen and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
