The Position:

The Manager, Commercial Markets is accountable for the profitable development, sustainability and growth of an assigned commercial credit portfolio from a transactional perspective.  This means ensuring the ongoing origination, review and underwriting of high quality commercial loan assets through credit unions and syndicate partner organizations.  You will build and maintain a portfolio of commercial loan assets to meet internal balance sheet requirements and external investment needs.

In this role you will complete detailed analysis, credit reviews and credit recommendations for existing clients and prospective new borrowers.  You will ensure the organization is adequately protected from financial loss by following proper funding, documentation and monitoring practices as well as identifying and bringing forward emerging credit issues in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Successful completion of a business degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.  
Previous lending experience and demonstrated proficiency is required with 5 years progressive experience in the area of commercial credit and/or underwriting including Real Estate and Construction lending.
