Description

The Resort Village of Tobin Lake is currently seeking a maintenance person. The successful applicant will carry out the public work needs of the Village. This position requires the maintenance and care of the Village facilities, mechanical equipment, public areas, roads, drainage and utility systems. In addition, residential garbage and snow removal is required as well as other duties related to Village maintenance. This individual must have the ability to analyze the daily needs of the Village, to anticipate ongoing maintenance demands, and to implement these. He/she must have the water operator (level 2) and lagoon management course or be willing to be trained to acquire them. The applicant must be willing to work within the parameters set forth by the Village Council, must be self-directed, and must be able to direct other employees. The applicant must be comfortable performing physical tasks including heavy lifting, along with the safe operation of various types of small equipment and must be comfortable interacting with Village residents and visitors.
-    Applicants must possess a valid drivers license
-    Criminal record check is required upon being hired
-    A minimum Grade 12/GED is required
-    Applicant must possess a strong mechanical aptitude
-    Good planning, organizational, decision making and problem-solving skills
