Description

An expanding Saskatchewan based security company is seeking Payroll, Billing and Group Benefits Administrator to join our team in Regina, SK.

Reporting to the Manager of Administration, the Payroll, Billing and Group Benefits Administrator will be responsible for providing a variety of payroll functions for approximately 500 employees across Western Canada and Ontario.  As well, duties include some functions contributing to the financial operation of the company including client billing, accounts receivable and record keeping. This position, at all times, displays professionalism with a high focus on ensuring customer satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

    Oversee, enter and submit payroll for all Guard/Mobile services
    Prepare spreadsheets for financial reporting  vacation pay, union dues, benefits.
    Billing and payroll reconciliation
    Assist to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processes and problem solve
issues that arise
    Involvement in payroll recommendations for improvement and assist with project based work as needed
    Verify the accuracy and completeness of all reports.
    Prepare and send billings for customers
    Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Preferred Education & Qualifications:
    Successful completion of Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification together with 3+years payroll experience
    Working knowledge of Ceridian Insync.
    Ability to work independently and take initiative
    Demonstrated ability to exercise tact and discretion in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
    Strong problem solving skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to work well within a team environment
    Knowledge of payroll best practices, payroll legislative policies, Employment Standards Acts and the impact on the payroll processing
    Adept at MS Office with emphasis on Excel
    Exemplifies a service-oriented mindset and responsiveness to payroll inquiries
