Assignment and Term: This position is a temporary part-time position of 5.5 hours per school days at Yorkdale Central School. The position commences February 25, 2019 and will expire June 27, 2019.  The work schedule will be from 8:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a 50 minute lunch break.   Rest periods will be scheduled in accordance with AP 403 Appendix B - Rest Periods.

The duties of an Educational Assistant are to:
work closely with students to meet their diverse learning goals; provide assistance to students with mobility needs and/or who require personal care; assist the classroom teacher to support learning with all students in the classroom; maintain strict confidentiality of all information pertaining to a child, classroom and the school; perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or designate and those listed in Job Description - Educational Assistant.

The successful candidate will have at minimum a Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent. Acute attention to detail, adaptability, flexibility and the ability to work as a team member will be considered assets.

Salary and Benefits:
The successful candidate will be paid on a monthly basis at an hourly rate from $16.75 - $21.65 plus applicable vacation pay.  Benefits include participation in the Saskatchewan School Board Association (SSBA) Employee Benefits Plan, the Municipal Employees' Pension Plan and opportunities to attend professional development seminars.
