Job Summary: The Kitchen Assistant must assist the kitchen manager with the preparation of the correct number of healthy lunches and help to ensure that are delivered to the schools in a timely way.
This job is 20-25 hours a week Mon-Fri. We require a dependable,punctual and organized person who is not afraid of some heavy lifting
(50lbs).
This position is a mat-leave position till Sept with possibility of long term employment.
Qualifications:
Food Handlers Course
First Aid and CPR ( would be an asset)
Skills and Abilities
Hold a valid drivers license and be insurable to $1,000,000.00
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Able to communicate effectively both orally and in written format
Some computer skills
Ability to be flexible and compassionate to the participants of the programs
Additional Requirements
Must submit a completed criminal record check and CPIC
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
Clean up coffee area and make sure coffee is made each morning
Help with the delivery of lunches when a volunteer driver is unavailable
Assist with grocery shopping when
Keep waste to a minimum
Assist with preparing the lunches everyday
Keep the kitchen, bathrooms and back area clean and organized with the help of other kitchen staff
Attendance at fundraisers and other significant Hunger In Moose Jaw events is strongly encouraged.
Attend staff meetings
Adhere to policies and procedures of Hunger in Moose Jaw
Act as a responsible team member
Carry out other related duties as requested
Adhere to the Oath of Confidentiality
Hours of Work : M-F 8am-12pm with the possibility of more hours on some days if needed
