Description

We are hiring a term, part-time Communications Coordinator to join our fun, professional team (this position is 0.5 of full-time equivalent  18.75 hours a week  until March 2020). You are encouraged to apply if you enjoy and are experienced in creating and managing all aspects of communication, especially within non-profits; and you have experience and interest in early literacy promotion, particularly provincially.

Position Summary
The position of Communications Coordinator focuses on the development and implementation of the Saskatchewan Literacy Network (SLN) communications plan and promotional materials; overseeing the translation of resources; revising and maintaining the SLN website and social media content; and the development of public awareness campaigns. Much of the work during the term of this position will support an early literacy project, and will involve collaboration with the early literacy project team, as well as other staff of the SLN, to provide tools for project participants across Saskatchewan to engage more fully with early literacy advancement.

The success of this position relies on an individual's knowledge and experience with communications across a diverse field, and with a provincial scope; and their interest in and knowledge of literacy and related fields in Saskatchewan. Strong technical skills in visual media software, website design, and social media will be required. This position works in a team with other SLN staff, in connection with the literacy and related fields in Saskatchewan, and reports directly to the Executive Director.
