POSITION SUMMARY:
Lead the work of the Recreation and Volunteer team in providing recreation and leisure activities that enhance the residents quality of life.
- Plan, organize, monitor and take part in recreation and leisure activities.
- Organize community events and outreach programs for residents.
- Arranges and accompanies residents on outings.
- Connect and invite family members to activities and events.
- Encourages and assists with residents interaction.
- Plan appropriate one-on-one activities for residents unable to attend larger group activities or events.
- Prepares, decorates, and sets up the facility and organizes crafts or games.
- Maintains communications through daily white boards, calendars, and newsletters.
- Develop and post recreation and leisure activity calendars.
- Maintain records and write reports as requested by executive director.
- Maintain appropriate records in charting recreational and leisure activities.
- Respond to incoming inquiries related to recreation activities.
- Arrange and monitor volunteer programs.
- Obtains and/or purchases necessary equipment and supplies as approved by Executive Director.
- Takes bookings for Sun Room.
