The server will be responsible for taking the customers orders and serving customers in both the restaurant and on the course.
They will also prepare, heat and finish simple foods. The server is also responsible to keep records of the quantities of food used and taking payments and handling cash.
Food and Beverage Serving Skills
- Advise on menu selections
- Serve food and beverages, formal or French service
- Serve food and beverages, general plate service
- Present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques or room billings
- Describe menu items including daily specials for customers
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- Food and beverage server certification
- Serving It Right Certificate
Additional Skills
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
- Load buspans and trays
- Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages
