At the YMCA of Moose Jaw, the Fitness Coordinator is an essential part of our team and helps to contribute to the overall success of our Association. As the Fitness Coordinator, you are the face of the YMCA of Moose Jaw. You will be responsible for ensuring excellence in member services through the day-to-day administration and delivery of all adult fitness programs. As a member of the fitness programs team, you will work with other staff to train, develop and recruit staff and volunteers. This position places a strong emphasis on program leadership, program planning, implementation and exceptional member service.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To assist the Fitness Manager to ensure linkages between all departments, leading to the successful implementation of membership program strategies, and ultimately the YMCA Strategic Plan
- Implement, monitor and evaluate classes and programs that are on trend, aligning with YMCA strategic priorities that serves the needs of the community
- Direct involvement in the delivery of all programs and services within the adult fitness department
- Recruit, train and supervise all Group Fitness Leaders and Personal Trainers ensuring personnel files are current and all YMCA required documentation is present
- Deliver personal training services and orientations as required according to Personal Training Contract
- Assist Manager of Fitness Services to ensure standards, policies and procedures are maintained
- To enthusiastically assume related responsibilities as outlined in Succession plan and that are assigned
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with YMCA policies and procedures including Child Protection standards
