Job Description: The ECT and Ketamine coordinator will provide care that is holistic, solution focused and encompasses the following dimensions: psychological, physiological, developmental, socio-cultural and spiritual.

POSITION DUTIES:
- Discusses needs of groups, clinics, and programs with the Manager
- Provides training sessions for all personnel working the above areas
- Adherence to the Mental Health Services Act
- Teaches and guides in the learning of new procedures, policies and forms
- Communicates new information to employees within the ECT and Ketamine Program areas.
- Checks crash cart daily
- Checks portable suction as scheduled
- Oversees equipment maintenance and repairs
- Arranges necessary testing for patients prior to ECT
- Prepares patient documentation prior to ECT
- Prepares ECT treatment area
- Prepares patient documentation prior to Ketamine
- Prepares Ketamine treatment area
- Participates in treatment and recovery of patients in ECT and Ketamine treatments
- Coordinates ECT and Ketamine clinics
- Ordering of supplies for ECT and Ketamine clinics
- Makes available information on, or access to: community groups, videos, and reading materials, such as books or pamphlets
- In collaboration with the nursing unit manager ensures adequate staffing of the area
- Practices fiscal responsibility
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
*Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a nurse in a Mental Health environment
*Minimum of one (1) year of perianesthesia nursing experience
