Description

THE POSITION: Reporting to the Manager of People and Development, this position ensures the development and successful implementation of the organizations annual human resources plans; to ensure necessary development and co-ordination of employee programs; to develop and maintain practices, procedures and objectives based on corporate policy; that emphasizes a constructive culture in which employees are empowered, inspired and motivated; and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior work force.

Responsibilities will include:
Promoting and fostering solid relationships, building culture through training and support for employees; through assistance and encouragement of achievement of performance plans; participate in credit union meetings.
Work as a key part of the Human Resources team to provide assistance within the coordination of development programs; assembling and composing information, updating material as required, assisting in report building, coordinating and communication within the people division team.
Participate in the achievement of organizational goals by providing input and commitment into the development and achievement of the department tactical plans and individual performance plans; actively engaging in fostering and cultivating the constructive culture within Innovation Credit Union
Be active in the employee recruitment process including short listing, prescreening and interviewing of candidates
Responsible for the administration of the hiring process including job offers, references and security checks, proper onboarding and other related documentation
Compile, prepare, report, update and circulate data for various projects
Maintenance and security of personnel records by maintaining paper, computer and document imaging of personnel records and files in accordance with guidelines set by Revenue Canada; ensuring confidentiality of employee files by following security procedures
