Description

Looking for a resilient, experienced person to join our vibrant team to work with a reunification program. Ability to contribute to solution focused environment is essential. Adaptable approach, concepts with the organization, clientele it serves, sensitivity to and an understanding of Aboriginal culture. Accompanying families in addressing interpersonal issues to regain their confidence and full potential as a whole. Role involves group setting, delivering and providing information, co- facilitating, support services to families working towards reunification with families. Inspiring approach to safety planning, case management, working with families, emotional and practical support. Insight for crisis intervention, supportive counselling, and advocacy. Understanding and knowledge of dynamics with interpersonal struggles for families with children in care.  Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion when relating to a variety of issues, skills to support and ready engage clients, to assist in the process. Work collaboratively and respectfully with a diverse client group and with community professionals. Patient, mature individual to work collaboratively and respectfully work with a diverse client group, community, organizations and professionals. Skills acquired through experience, training and education within a human services field.  Recognizes the value of lived experience and informal learning. Aboriginal and visible minority candidates are encouraged to apply and to self-identify.
