Description

The Moose Jaw & District Senior Citizens Association seeks an experienced individual to lead our organization. The individual will be motivated, able to work independently, with our board of directors and has a passion for Seniors.

The Coordinator will:
Oversee day-to-day operations and programs of the Centre
Implements policies as set by the Board of Directors
Provide leadership, direction to staff, volunteers and members.
Identify issues that will affect the Association.
Maintain and organize the Centre office, including paperwork and filing.
Recruit and manage volunteers.
Completing grant applications.
Take hall bookings and catering engagements.
Provide advice to the Board to ensure that decisions are made based on appropriate information.
Act as a representative and primary spokesperson for the Centre

Experience requirements:
Office Administration certificate
Experience in managing a non-profit association.
Experience working with seniors
Experience making grant applications.

Skills & Abilities:
Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of people.
Outstanding communication skills (oral and written), including public speaking.
Demonstrated abilities in fundraising, resource development and grants management.
Strong leadership qualities.
The ability to balance multiple projects with interruptions.
Proficient with modern office equipment. Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite programs
Solid website building knowledge and usage

Creative and innovative thinking, with a positive attitude
Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work well with people, listen and communicate.
Friendly, flexible and a good sense of humor.

Miscellaneous:
May require some weekend or evening work
