Gateway Co-operative Association Ltd. invites applications for the position of Building Materials Estimator to join our team at our Home Centre in Preeceville, SK.

Duties:

-To be responsible for providing legendary customer service to all customers while being knowledgeable about lumber and all other building materials.
-Perform building material estimates for customers and contractors while ensuring appropriate pricing is used
-To ensure that current building practices will be followed in the preparation of all estimates
-Accurately record customer transactions and operate the point of sale system
-To provide a neat, clean and well merchandised environment at all times.
-To perform exterior and interior housekeeping and maintenance duties including keeping the yard, warehouse and public areas neat and clean.
-To operate and maintain all equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner.
-To come to work with a positive, professional approach and attitude.
-To be familiar with and adhere to Gateway Co-op policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

-Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, outgoing and energetic personality.
-Completion of Building and Lumber Estimator program is an asset
-Knowledge of lumber and building materials
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Ability to multi-task.
-A desire and ability to work with the public.
-Ability to work independently and also in a team setting.
-Physically able to do heavy lifting of 60lbs.
-Ability to work all scheduled shifts including weekends
