The Environmental Advisor position is responsible to lead pipeline and pipeline facility projects through the environmental assessment process. This includes; overseeing environmental studies, reports, and acquiring regulatory authorizations and permits.
The position is also involved in coordinating heritage and cultural screenings/studies for proposed projects.
Once construction begins the position oversees environmental monitoring, inspection, auditing and other compliance functions within the department.
The Environmental Advisor also conducts environmental screenings using GIS for low risk projects.
Qualifications -
Education:
Degree in Environmental or Natural Sciences, Engineering, Agriculture, Geography or Biology.
Registered Professional Designation (i.e. Professional Agrologist, Geoscientist or Engineer) able to practice in Saskatchewan.
Experience:
Experience as required to obtain Professional Agrologist, Geoscientist or Engineer Designation.
Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required.
