Description

This position is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Meadow Lake Aquatic Centre, a year-round indoor swimming pool.

Duties:
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
    managing pool operations to ensure the facility is safe, well maintained and fully utilized;
    recruitment, scheduling, supervision and management of the Aquatic Centre staff (full-time, part-time and casual positions);
    arranging and verifying all required training of staff to ensure the safety of staff and visitors;
    coordinating and scheduling pool bookings;
    ensuring all chlorine systems are operational and that required water quality sampling is being completed; and
    reviewing, making recommendations for, and implementing the budget for the facility.

Qualifications:
The following are the qualifications of the position:
    Minimum Grade 12
    Minimum 2 years leadership experience, preferably in a similar environment
    A valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and a satisfactory Criminal Record Check are required for this position
The following certifications are considered an asset, and the successful applicant will be required to obtain them within two years.
    National Lifeguard Service
    Life Saving Instructor
    Pool Operator I
