2019-015Feb - Member Service Representative I (Casual) - Wynyard (*ANTICIPATORY POSTING)

POSITION:

The primary purpose of the Member Services department is to provide a variety of routine cash and non-cash related products and services to members and potential members with accuracy and courtesy. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the Member Service Representative I will process member transactions, deliver effective member information, promote and cross sell credit union deposit services and make appropriate referrals. This is a Casual position (no guarantee of hours in any given pay period), with scheduling to be determined by the immediate supervisor to the position. The successful candidate will be scheduled both on a Casual (as-needed) basis as well as for extended periods of time when coverage for holidays etc. is required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have Post-Secondary education plus up to one year job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.  An understanding of the features and benefits of Credit Union products and services would be beneficial.  Ability to recognize cross selling opportunities, make sales or refer sales, effective cash handling skills and strong verbal and written communication skills is required.  A commitment to continuous learning and development is required.

COMPENSATION:
