We are seeking an energetic and enthusiastic team player to join our growing medical practice in Moose Jaw. This part-time position is a one-year term with the potential for extension or permanency. Hours of work will be Monday from 8:00 am -4:30 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm and the occasional Saturday daytime shift.
As a Medical Technician, you will take patient histories, check their visual acuity, instill drops in their eyes as necessary, and operate diagnostic equipment. You will work independently in a fast paced clinic inputting information into the electronic medical record computer system. In addition, you will assist with other duties such as checking patients in and booking patient appointments.
As the ideal candidate, you are a quick learner, have excellent communication skills, and have strong computer and typing skills. You have superior interpersonal skills and enjoy working with patients. A background in medical and/or eye anatomy, or experience with Accuro or other electronic medical record systems is a definite asset, however all training will be provided.
