We are looking for a facilitator. Facilitators help attract, engage and manage volunteers that enable individuals with high levels of disability (called Centers) accomplish some of their life goals. We call this a support network. If you are interested in getting to know new people and sharing your gifts and experience, we would love to meet you.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Reliable
Strong interpersonal and group skills
Ability to draw people together (host/hostess factor)
Ability to chair meetings and delegate duties
Ability and willingness to search for information.
Coachable
Self motivated and ability to motivate others
Strong writing skills in order to write letters and email correspondence
Tools Needed:
Internet/telephone access
Microsoft office
Email
Own vehicle (asset but not required)
Work Environment
1. Part of the job will be done from your home - phone calls, emails, memos
2. Network meetings and events will occur in locations determined by the center.
3. Attendance at monthly network meetings, training sessions or other meetings is mandatory.
The main objective of the Facilitator is to assist the Center in creating and maintaining a strong support network. We are looking for a reliable and trustworthy person to commit to 4 - 8 hours a month on a permanent basis.
