Facility: Biggar and District Health Centre
Job Description: The Community Physical Therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive services within the Community Health Services Program, as a member of a multi-disciplinary health team committed to health promotion and disease prevention. Assessment and treatment services may be provided to outpatients, inpatients, residents of nursing homes and to clients in their own homes or workplaces. This position also offers some opportunity for delivery of educational programs. The Community Physical Therapist is required to practice in accordance with the philosophy, objectives and policies of their professional association, the community therapy program and the Saskatchewan Health Authority.
Required Qualifications

Valid Class 5 driver's license
Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Access to a reliable vehicle
Public relations skills
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to demonstrate professional conduct and judgement and ethical behaviour
Broad knowledge of the physical therapy field
Ability to motivate clients
Ability to understand and appreciate rural service delivery
Extensive knowledge of and ability to deliver preventive, treatment and maintenance therapy programs
Excellent assessment, diagnostic and intervention skills
