The R.M. of South QuAppelle No. 157 is now accepting applications for a Contracted Gravel Truck Driver. Duties are to commence May 1st, 2019, subject to weather conditions.
This is not a full-time position. The ideal candidate would be available as per the Foremans request throughout the summer months.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Haul gravel to specified destination, as per Foremans direction;
- Gravel municipal roads, as per Foremans direction;
- Watch for traffic, obstacles and obstructions on the roads;
- Maintain equipment;
- Complete minor repairs to equipment; and
- Keep a daily log book indicating the pit the gravel is hauled from, the destination (legal land description) and the quantity of gravel hauled.
Qualifications:
- Valid Drivers License;
- Valid 1A License; and
- Rural knowledge is an asset.
