Description

The Prince Albert Tourism and Marketing Bureau is looking for a creative, outgoing individual with a passion for digital & new media. You will be responsible for creating memorable experiences and promoting Prince Albert as a destination through social media, blogging, videography, photography, and more.  You will be expected to work independently and as a part of team. On a day-to-day basis you will be involved in planning & measuring content, interviewing and interacting with local businesses, residents, and tourists, attending events, and writing and posting about your experiences. You will also be expected to respond to visitor inquiries, provide information as requested, and assist with gift shop sales at the Visitor Centre.
The Promotions & Communications Assistant will focus on the areas of social media, writing, photography, and project management. Other duties will include assisting with special events, retail sales, and visitor services. Special projects may be tailored to the applicants area of interest.
Your work will help encourage people to visit Prince Albert and create excitement around what the City has to offer.

We welcome all applicants although priority will be given to those who show a strong background in one or more of the desired focus areas including marketing, communications, design, media, photography and writing.

NOTE: All selected applicants will be required to come prepared with an informal outline of project ideas for the summer, including specific areas of interest and skill set to support. Apply early as we expect this position to be highly competitive and strong applicants will be given priority.

Must be willing to work weekends and some evenings.

**Priority will be given to students who have completed some post-secondary and will be returning to their studies.
