The Prince Albert Police Service is seeking an experienced and motivated individual for the permanent position of Network Support Officer for the Prince Albert Police Service. The Network Support Officer is responsible for responding to day to day technical issues as well as installation, configuration, and maintenance of client/server hardware, software and infrastructure. This position ensures that system hardware, operating systems, security infrastructure, and related procedures adhere to established organizational values and goals.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
Support backup and recovery processes
Manage Active Directory and maintain user authentication and access privileges
Create and maintain accurate documentation
Perform regular security monitoring
Support LANs and WANs
Troubleshoot problems reported by users
Make recommendations for future upgrades
Analyze and isolate issues
Evaluate and modify systems performance
Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
Administer servers, desktop computers, printers, routers, switches, firewalls, phones, personal digital assistants, smartphones, software deployment, security updates and patches
Retrieve CCTV video from disparate systems
Participate in on call 24x7 hour support rotation on predefined weekends and holidays
Required Qualifications:
5+ years experience in System Administration
Degree or Diploma in Computer Science and /or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Criminal Background check and security screening process
Valid Saskatchewan Driver's License
