Service Technician

Future Ford in Melville, SK currently has a career opportunity for a Full Time Automotive Service Technician. We are specifically looking for Journeyperson.

As a Service Technician you will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance, repairing vehicles and ensuring excellent relations between customers and the dealership.

Job Duties:
    Road testing vehicles before and after service
    Performing scheduled maintenance
    Advising supervisor if repairs will take longer than promised on work order
    Documenting all repairs and services performed on vehicles
    Following manufacturers  warranty policies and procedures and dealership guidelines
    Must be proficient at diagnosing and repairing faults in all electronic systems used in all types of vehicles.
    Carry out repairs or replacement of faulty parts as well as perform vehicle maintenance work.
    Document and complete related forms and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
    Work closely with Front Counter personnel to confirm customer needs and provide updates on the status of diagnosis, repairs and maintenance work.
    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of testing equipment and procedures to diagnose vehicle faults.
    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of electronic systems used in different makes and models of vehicles.
    Required to keep work area clean and organized and applicant must have his/her own tools with the exception of computer scanners.
    Work positively as a member of the team and in the best interests of the organization.
