We are recruiting for a Senior Design Engineer to join our Research & Development Department. You will be based either in our facility in Yorkton, SK or Saskatoon, SK with some travel between our locations.
YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the design and implementation of major design projects.
Research current market trends and competitive products to aid in providing direction for future product development.
Have a good understanding of current farming practices and farm equipment.
Apply sound practical and theoretical knowledge of engineering principles to product design.
Throughout the design processes ensure there is a focus on Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
Assign work to other team members and provide guidance.
Provide direction for future product for development by Research and Development based on current and future market demands.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
A degree in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or relevant experience, preferably with a minimum of five years experience.
Must possess a good knowledge and understanding of current farming practices and farm equipment.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are required.
Must be able to manage project workloads between different team members, while maintaining project development timelines.
Must possess a good working knowledge of current CAS and FEA software programs and a working knowledge of Pro Engineer Creo would be an asset.
Must have or be pursing P.Eng status in the province of Saskatchewan.
