POSITION AUTHORITY;
Responsible for the overall management of programs under La Ronge Native Womens Council Inc. (LRNWCI)
DUTIES;
Oversee program management of all LRNWCI projects.
In Conjunction with the Executive Director:
Responsible for the development and implementation of staff in accordance with the LRNWCI Personnel Policy, and Labour Standards requirements.
POLICY AND PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT;
Working in conjunction with the ED and Outreach Worker(s), initiate, develop and implement program materials responding to the unique needs of northern Aboriginal women, with the Council and/or appropriate committees.
PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS;
Maintain a positive working relationship with other agencies, and the general public service groups.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT;
With the ED, maintain budgets for all programs
Good working knowledge of financial reporting systems and government reporting requirements.
GENERAL OPERATIONS OF THE PIWAPAN WOMEN'S CENTRE (PWC);
Oversee the general operations of the PWC, and working with the Shelter administrator, ensure that standards, maintenance, inspections and quality of service are maintained throughout the year.
STATISTICAL INFORMATION;
responsible for the compilation of monthly statistics.
provide a monthly, quarterly and annual statistical report to the LRNWCI.
CRITICAL FACTORS:
bondable.
a positive role model and have a personal wellness plan.
at least two years experience supervising staff and a major program.
good working knowledge of bookkeeping, accounting and administration procedures.
EDUCATION:
Have Post-secondary education, preferably in the field of Social Work, Social Sciences, Womens Studies, Indigenous Studies, Human Justice.
The ability to speak a northern Aboriginal language is an asset.
