Summer Student JobNorth East School Division invites applications to fill six maintenance summer student positions in the Facilities Department. Starting date is approximately May 1 to August 30, 2019 for positions in Melfort and Nipawin.
Duties will include: assisting with school maintenance projects and minor repairs, painting, operating grass cutting equipment and other duties as assigned.
The position locations are as follows:
Melfort - 4 positions
Nipawin - 2 positions
Wage is $16.70/hour
Job qualifications & requirements:
Valid drivers license.
Must be physically fit and able to handle various tasks involving lifting, bending, twisting, turning, and climbing.
Ability to do medium load work which includes:
- exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally (lifting and/or carrying)
- exerting up to 20 lbs. of force frequently
- exerting up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team setting
These positions will require travel within the school division, a vehicle will be provided
Be willing to join the Local CUPE 4875 union
Preference will be given to students attending post-secondary education in the fall of 2019.
