Description

Performs maintenance and repair service on rental fleet and customer equipment according to maintenance schedules, rental returns and other requirements.
Consults manufacturers manuals, circuit diagrams and blueprints to determine test, calibration and maintenance procedures for equipment.
Tests, inspects, repairs, adjusts and maintains rental and sales equipment.
Supports equipment demonstrations for customers as required by sales.
Records all service activity, parts and consumables used. Wherever possible, records this information on the customer work order and advises the Service Manager for billing purposes.
Assists Purchasing with setting seasonal equipment parts and consumables inventory within the Kanban levels approved by the Service Manager.
Completes all maintenance and repair activities in a safe manner and ensures work area is clean and organized according to Company policies and procedures.
Responds by telephone, in person or e-mail to customer technical inquiries, issues and concerns in an effective, timely and professional manner. Liaises with manufacturing support for more difficult issues as required.
Follows the annual maintenance checklist for each piece of equipment in the rental fleet.

Qualifications:
Troubleshooting ability to determine required maintenance jobs
Three to five years of experience in mechanics and engine repair
Millwright ticket preferred and other Safety Tickets
Mechanically inclined, well organized and competent in the use of various tools
Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all business and personal interactions
Experience and certification in operating forklifts is required
Strong understanding of the operating a service truck; maintenance and repair of engine, industrial equipment and electrical systems;
Demonstrated ability to deal with people at all diplomatically and professionally
Demonstrated ability to exercise necessary cost control measures
