PARTNERS Family Services is accepting applications for the position of Youth Worker. This is a term position with 32.5 hours per week
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year diploma in CYW required; preference for 4 year relevant degree
- Minimum 2 years working with children, youth and families in clinical or community setting
-Valid First Aid/CPR
-Valid Class 5 SK Driver's Licence
- Clear driver's abstract
- Use of personal vehicle with $2 million dollars liability insurance
The Youth Worker reports directly to the Support Services Coordinator and is responsible for the following:
-Provide intake, advocacy and referrals for youth clients in the areas of family issues, mental health, housing, etc and access to resources
- Facilitate youth focused group programs in the areas of interpersonal violence, mental health, interpersonal relationships, etc
- Provide services both in office and in client's home community
-Provide case coordination and support to families whose children/youth are accessing multiple services
- Ensure case plans and files are maintained to PFS standards
-Ensure that statistics are compiled, entered and submitted to the Executive Director monthly and quarterly
-Work with all team members to ensure that all PFS programs expectations are fully met
