Summer Student JobPTI Transformers Inc. (PTI), recognized as one of Canadas Best Managed Companies is seeking candidates for summer shop labour positions.
Candidates will have successfully completed Grade 12, are a continuing student and possess a mechanical aptitude as well as familiarity with both hand and power tools.
Key responsibilities include the recycling of used electrical equipment, including the disassembly and sorting of parts, draining oil and preparing salvaged materials for recycling or shipment. Additional responsibilities may also include the efficient repair of transformers, reclosers and electronic controls.
To be successful in this position you must show confidence and competence while working independently to meet the monthly quota set out by the department supervisor. Knowledge of workplace health and safety, using hand tools, time management, problem solving skills and an attention to details are also required.
If you are a team player, dedicated and have a proven record of strong work attendance, you will enjoy working in facility on a fixed schedule that includes an EDO (Earned Day Off).
These positions will run from early May through until late August.
