David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, to recruit for a Controller to support their Saskatoon business operations. Duties

Review of monthly working papers and consolidated financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Internal reporting requirements, including monthly reporting package to send to the parent company and bi-monthly board reporting
External reporting requirements, including half-year review and annual audit
Assist in the planning and preparation of annual budgets, and preparation of quarterly and yearly forecasts
Implementation of ERP software in a post-go-live environment as it relates to the financial reporting process
Data analytics to analyze and interpret large volumes of data
Work closely with senior management to support and implement high-quality data-driven decisions
Identify areas for improvement in current processes and automation opportunities
Design and implement internal control processes
Other areas as deemed necessary
Qualifications and Skills

Accounting designation with 8 years of experience post-qualification (preference is given towards chartered accountant designation)
Strong problem solving and organization skills with high attention to detail
International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) experience
Experience with large ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics would be considered an asset
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines
Experience managing teams and workflow
