The Ministry has a challenging opportunity for highly motivated individuals who are interested in a career as a Highway Patrol Officer.  Your primary goal will be to protect the highway infrastructure and ensure the safety of all highway users by monitoring commercial vehicle compliance with National Safety Code requirements and Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance standards.  Responsibilities include operation of Commercial Vehicle Inspection Stations and portable weigh scales with mobile patrols within a designated geographical location. As a member of the Provincial Protection and Response Team, in order to ensure public safety, you will aid in the reduction of crime in Saskatchewan by responding to 911 calls when RCMP or Municipal Police agencies are not immediately available, or when you could provide assistance and support to Police as requested.
