Description

Cut Knife School - Principal

Cut Knife School (soon to be renamed!) will be a newly combined Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12 school in the fall of 2019 with an enrolment of approximately 195 students. The community of Cut Knife is found 55 kms NW of North Battleford and is home of the Worlds Largest Tomahawk.  We are looking for an innovative administrator that is excited to work with and build a new team. Parent and community engagement will be a priority. The successful applicant will demonstrate a desire to advance his/her leadership through a higher level of education and leadership experiences. This is a permanent, full time continuing position, commencing with the start of the 2019-20 school year.

The successful candidate will possess dynamic leadership skills and be able to work effectively with students, staff and other administrators. Living Sky School Division believes that school-based administrators play key roles in student success.  It will be important for candidates to be able to:

    Lead Learning (Instructional Leadership),
    Set Vision and Provide Direction,
    Secure Caring and Respectful Schools,
Develop People and Build Relationships, and
Strengthen the Educational Community (through working with parents and other agencies).

Candidates are required to possess a Masters Degree in Educational Administration or related discipline, or be committed to completing post-graduate studies in an applicable field. Additionally, they must be eligible for or possess a valid Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate. We thank all interested applicants; however, only those candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.

Our division is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace that empowers all employees to reach their full potential and encourages applications from those who will contribute to the diversity of Living Sky School Division.
