David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to conduct a NATIONWIDE SEARCH recruiting a MAINTENANCE MANAGER. As the leader of the Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Manager is accountable for promoting excellence in all maintenance activities provided in the plants operation through leadership and development of staff, developing business plans and methods.

Manage operations of the department by coordinating, planning, and following-up on maintenance activities to facilitate optimum performance
Provide leadership to improve health and safety performance by being a role model in safety and demonstrating due diligence through applying the corporate health & safety program elements
A focus on incident prevention through hazard identification, implementing necessary controls, training, education, and audits
Provide leadership and supervision to staff by reviewing performance and providing feedback, determining training and development needs, and providing coaching and work direction

The Ideal Candidate:

University degree or trade certificate in Engineering, or a related field
Minimum five (5) years experience in a leadership position as a Maintenance Manager or similar positions in Pharmaceutical, Energy, or Food Production industries
Ability to develop innovative solutions to business challenges. Ability to apply best practices in operations management
Strong planning, analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
