Full-Time Permanent Mechanic

A full-time Mechanic to commence as soon as possible. This position will be based out of the Bus Garage in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan.

Horizon School Division operates 41 schools across East Central Saskatchewan, encompassing 30,970 square kilometers, and spanning a geographic area from Bulyea in the south, Wakaw in the north, Foam Lake in the east, and Viscount in the west. Our Administration Office is in Humboldt.

Salary and benefits are per the current CUPE #4799 agreement.

The Opportunity
Working under the direct supervision of the Manager of Transportation Services, Horizon School Division is seeking a highly motivated individual who is responsible for the general repair and maintenance of Division vehicles.

Education, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of Grade 12 diploma from a recognized educational institution or a General Educational Development (GED) is required.
Valid Journeyman Certificate would be considered an asset.
Minimum three (3) years experience repairing and maintaining school buses.
Experience with bus inspections an asset.
Valid Class 5 Drivers license with S Endorsement.
Proficiency in the operation of computers, word processing applications and additional software comparable to those used in the School Division.
Interviews will be scheduled once a suitable pool of candidates is established.
