As a registered nurse (RN) leader, you aspire to make a difference in your profession. You possess the leadership skills to enhance and promote safe, ethical and competent RN practice through the coordination of health care services. You have 10 years of clinical experience in at least two areas of nursing practice (direct care, education, administration, policy or research), including a minimum of two years in a leadership position.
Your open, engaging and decisive communication style with members, employers, external key partners and the public demonstrate your leadership, professionalism, accountability and responsibility. As Director of Nursing Practice, you will oversee the provision of consultation services and resources for members, employers and key partners. You possess strong project management, critical thinking and communication skills to successfully develop policies, practice standards, and guidelines. You also will ensure resource allocation and accountability.
Education/Experience:
- Current licensure with the SRNA or eligibility to obtain a licence with the SRNA.
- A Masters degree.
- Experience working in one or more of the domains of nursing as a registered nurse.
- Experience collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and the public.
- Experience in working effectively with other professional disciplines.
