Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Judicial Programs, or her designate, the CSO/FO Caseworker will be responsible for registering and monitoring client files and creating and maintaining a positive first impression for JHS clients, staff and public and support the Program, as well as provide overall administrative support for the Branch office.

Duties

Administration of the Fine Option and Community Service Orders program:
Interview all persons referred to the local office under the above programs.
Locate appropriate job placements for these persons.
Monitor those placements and the appropriateness of the placement agency.
Develop and expand the list of suitable placement agencies.
Ongoing monitoring of placement agencies to assure their suitability for, and satisfaction with, the program.
Ensure that all billings and statistics are maintained accurately and promptly forwarded to the Provincial Office and to funders.
Provide such referrals to placement clients as appropriate.
Provide such reports, records, statistics and budget information as may be required by the program criteria established by the Society.
Maintain an appropriate and accessible filing system.

Provide administrative office tasks, including:
Keep inventory of office supplies and place supply orders as needed
Greet visitors at the door and direct traffic in the office
Arrange outgoing mail and courier deliveries
Maintain staff room supplies
Ensure the safety, cleanliness, and tidiness of the JHS office, including the reception area and staff kitchen area, are well maintained
Create and maintain an appropriate filing system within the Branch office
Answering phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate people
Communicate with office custodial staff as needed
Receive, date stamp, and distribute all incoming mail and packages to the appropriate people on a daily basis
