Duties and responsibilities:
Providing one-to-one assistance to individuals with varying abilities in job training, life skills development, and social skills development as required for obtaining and maintaining employment.
Duties include:
- Develop and implement training plans including task analysis
- Monitor and participate as necessary to meet production demands at work placement
- Troubleshoot problems that occur in work sites or in daily living skills with clients
- Build and maintain working relationships with client, employers & staff job coaches
- Evaluate & document clients work skills & work habits at each scheduled work site visit
Qualifications:
Education:
- Disability or Rehabilitation Support Worker Certificate and/or related training and experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and access to a working/reliable vehicle
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within three months
Experience:
- One year experience in related field

- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals with varying abilities, co-workers, and community partners.
- Open-minded, creative, effective time management, and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.
