Description

The R.M. of Reciprocity No. 32 is a booming R.M. located in SE Saskatchewan surrounding the Village of Alida. Operating a fleet of modern equipment, the municipality maintains a road network system of over 300 miles. The municipality is located in the Bakken oilfield near the towns of Carnduff, Oxbow, and Redvers, providing the opportunity to enjoy small town living with access to many amenities.
The R.M. of Reciprocity No. 32 is looking for a self-motivated, career minded individual to fill the position of Permanent Full Time Public Works Operator. This is a year round position which will include the following responsibilities:
-    Road maintenance including grading, snow removal & ditch mowing;
-    Regular preventative maintenance & minor repairs on machines & equipment;
-    Physical labour such as debris removal, & fencing;
-    Record keeping;
-    Compliance with all policies & applicable legislation;
-    All other duties as assigned or required.  
The successful candidate will possess the following:
-    Valid Class 5 license (Class 1A or 3A license an asset);
-    Valid First Aid & CPR or willingness to obtain upon employment;
-    Ability to establish effective working relationships with Council and other employees;
-    Ability to communicate in a professional & effective way with the public, referring complex inquires/request to the Foreman;
-    Competent oral & written communication skills;
-    A willingness to learn & advance ones skills for the purpose of job growth including obtaining WHIMIS certification upon employment;
-    Previous equipment operating experience would be considered an asset.
