Description

Parkland Manufacturing is in search of a QC Manager to join their team.

Duties:
    Manage QA process, establish quality objectives/ deliverables

    Plan, organize, schedule, maintain the activities of the QC department including inspections of products

    Coach, train, supervise QA staff while maintaining company policies, procedures & values

    Define/setup overall quality system with standards for usage, storage, inspection, testing, & calibration of all instruments/ gauges and monitoring of process variances to ensure they are prioritized, reported & adequately resolved

    Supervise the preparation of quality documentation package; verify that all QC forms and quality records are completed & acceptable for Code & customer requirements

    Maintain Procedure Qualification Records, Welding Procedure Specifications & ensure welders work within the essential parameters of the appropriate WPS

    Work with customers to respond to defects/ test failures by recommending corrective action & ensuring the execution of the corrective action

    Assist estimators in Quality requirements for potential projects

    Implement & complete turnover pkgs


Qualifications:
    Min of 8 yrs experience in quality assurance with 5 yrs in management position in a custom metal fabrication environment or comparable industry

    Hands-on expertise in the inspection of structural steel

    Deep knowledge, practical understanding of welding processes/ procedures for custom steel projects & structural steel

    3 yrs experience implementing QA programs, best practices, tools & metrics with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six-Sigma expertise.

    Possess certifications in CWB level III inspection

    Experience in other quality systems (i.e. ISO 9001) & ASQ Qualification a plus

    Demonstrated excellent organizational and document control skills, strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making ability with attention to detail
