Come Join Our Team as an Engineering Manager!
Established in 1991, Saskarc Inc. is an industry-leading custom metal fabrication company. We serve the oil and gas, power generation, mining, construction, government and petrochemical industries across North America.
Summary:
The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing custom design, fabrication and team leadership requirements, all the while in meeting the challenges of deadlines in a fast paced environment.  Your insight and foresight enable you to direct resources and expertise into all the projects currently in progress as well as working on those that we successfully begin to launch.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the following:
    Design and detail project models utilizing software such as Tekla, Solid Works, Inventor or AutoCAD.
    Liaise on between Saskarc and 3rd party service providers for design and engineering scopes.
    Review shop drawings from 3rd party and determine if they are up to organization standards and can be utilized in production.
    Supports tender and post-tender evaluations.
    Advises on special contract terms and conditions.
    Provides regular and ad hoc reports as necessary.
    Oversee the engineer team and to keep deadlines and target dates on track and reporting when it deviates.
The successful candidate will possess the following:
    Demonstrated ability to develop and monitor contracts.
    Minimum of a bachelors degree in engineering.
    3-5 years of experience in Custom Fabrication.
    3 Years of experience in developing shop drawings.
    5 years of engineering experience.
    Proficiency in using the following software:
    TEKLA Structures: 1-3 years (must)
    Inventory: 1-3 years
    Solid Works: 1-3 years
    AutoCAD: 1-3 Years (must)
    Analytical and mathematical mind, capable of evaluating and solving various complex problems
