Description:
We are a large grain only farming operation that runs relatively new equipment. The successful candidate will have the ability to plant, cultivate, and harvest crops by operating large equipment (tractors, air seeder, combines, sprayers, and swathers that are GPS equipped). The candidate will need experience as an operator of farm machinery and be physically capable of general farm duties and labour.
Main Duties:
Plant, fertilize, cultivate, spray, and harvest crops
Operate tractors, combines, air seeders, sprayers, swathers, trackhoe, and augers
Maintain and repair farm machinery and equipment
Maintain clean equipment and farm sites as needed
General farm labour tasks
Perform other duties as the need arises
Job Skills and Requirements:
6 months experience with farm labour
Experience using and maintaining farm machinery and equipment is an asset
Ability to operate GPS systems on farm machinery is an asset
Team player willing to work long hours in peek seasons
Class 1A drivers license is an asset
Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license or equivalent with a clean driving record, drivers abstract required
