Description

The Produce Manager will be responsible for leading the Produce Team with day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Moose Jaw
Co-ops values, mission and vision.  The Produce Manager is responsible for maintaining productivity, sales, budget, margins, and inventory control. The successful candidate will have high standards in merchandising and customer service, and the ability to organize and lead a team in achieving organization and department goals.
Reporting to the Food Store Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:  
1. Prepare, implement and be responsible for the  sales, margins, expenses, inventory  
   and productivity of the Produce Department.
2. Ensuring merchandising, product and facility image are at the highest standards.
3. Lead a culture of safety through adherence to company standards for Health &  
    Safety, Loss Prevention and Environmental Due Diligence.
4. Provide leadership and direction to employees in accordance with company policies
    and procedures.
6. Organize, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the Produce Department while
    achieving budgeted goals.      
7. Provide superior leadership through coaching, development, performance
    management, and feedback to team members to ensure that they provide  
    exceptional customer service and advice to our guests.
Qualifications
Demonstrates effective team leadership skills and has the ability to work well within a
  multigenerational, highly motivated team
Supervisory and delegation experience
Capable of attaining high levels of production with minimal supervision
Previous produce experience
Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Alignment with Moose Jaw Co-ops values of Excellence, Trustworthy, Community
  and People First
  Related experience in the Co-operative Retailing System is an asset
