Description

Reporting to the General Manager, the Agronomy Centre Manager will be responsible for the management and direction of the Agronomy location. They will work closely with the General Manager, Controller and Human Resources Manager to ensure that the Agronomy Division is operating on a profitable basis and the retail goals are being achieved.  The individual will develop and implement the business plan for the Agronomy division encompassing the areas of customer relations, retail operations, procurement of crop protection, seed and fertilizer, strategic planning, marketing and team management.. The Agronomy Centre Manager will use forward thinking and a team oriented approach to serve the overall purpose of growing the Agricultural business within the Moose Jaw Co-op.
Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience
    Minimum 15 years experience in the crop input business
    Self-motivated
    Excellent organizational skills
    Attention to detail and accuracy
    Problem solving skills
    Capable of attaining high levels of production with minimum supervision
    Communicate effectively with customers and staff
    Ability to work as a team
    Service orientated
    Forklift license (Certification to be obtained upon hiring)
    Skid steer license (Certification to be obtained upon hiring)
    Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certificate (Certification to be obtained upon hiring)
    WHMIS Certificate (Certification to be obtained upon hiring)
    Class 1A drivers license not a necessity, but is an asset.
Qualifications:
Candidates must demonstrate effective team leadership skills and the ability to work well within a multi-generational team. This position requires an individual with a strong agricultural and management background.  A degree or certificate applicable to the position is an asset, however, not a requirement. Professional certifications are an asset (P. Ag., CCA, CCSC, 4R).
