Casual Position(0-13 Hours per week)
Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Youth & Aquatic Program Supervisor, the Swim Instructor/Lifeguard plans and prepares swimming lessons.  She/he performs lifeguard duties.  She/he opens and closes the aquatic facility.  She/he participates in meetings and in-service training, clinics and club events.  The Swim Instructor/lifeguard tracks and records the number of badges and books needed for swimming lessons.  She/he prepares and organizes the equipment for each class, as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma AND some experience in a related field OR An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience will also be considered AND Current National Lifeguard Service Certificate (NLS)  pool option qualification
Current CPR Level C and Standard First Aid qualifications
Current Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification
Current Lifesaving Instructor certification, as required
Language Requirement:  English Essential
