Position Overview
Inland Steel Products Inc. is seeking a 1A Truck Driver to be a contributing part of the team. This job is for someone who is hardworking, reliable and shows an excellent pride of workmanship.
-Unload and assist with weighing in and sorting of non-ferrous material
-Process, package, weigh and load non-ferrous material
-Direct customers to appropriate areas
-Receive non-ferrous materials
-Conduct daily equipment checks and record findings
-Clean equipment and perform daily basic maintenance
-Keep work area clean, organized, and free of clutter and debris
-Report equipment needing maintenance or repair to supervisor
-Complete daily Field level hazard assessment and equipment start up sheets
-Participate in the development of hazard assessments and safe work practices
-Report safety hazards/concerns
-In town and out of town pick ups.
-Ability to drive and back up super-b trailers.
-Responsible for general maintenance of trucks/trailers.
-Perform and document pre-and post trip inspections/paperwork.
-Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
-Commitment to continuous improvement.
-Follow company safety procedures.
Qualifications
-Must have a valid 1A drivers license.
-Familiar with city and surrounding areas.
-Must have a clean drivers abstract.
-Meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
-Ability to work flexible hours (overtime, weekends).
